Along Meiji Dori, connecting Omotesando and Shibuya, "Q Plaza Harajuku," opening on March 27th, will be a new type of restaurant and bar by Unimat Precious, called "SIXMARS Steak/Bar."
The restaurant and bar is inspired by New York's Meatpacking District. Once lined with meatpacking factories, the Meatpacking District has now evolved into an upscale area with an increasing number of stylish restaurants, bars, and boutiques thanks to urban development. Like the area, the shop blends modern and classic styles.
The restaurant spans two floors, the 10th and 11th floors, and offers dining, a bar, and private rooms, as well as an open-air terrace over 40 meters above ground, offering panoramic views of Tokyo's nightscape. The chic gray interior, with its open-air atrium and glass-walled space offering a breathtaking view, enhances the deliciousness of your meal.
Their signature steaks are made primarily from New Zealand premium beef "Reserve," but they also offer domestic beef such as Shimotsuke beef from Tochigi. If you'd like to order a steak, you'll be guided to a display case containing blocks of meat when you enter the restaurant, and after an explanation, your chosen meat will be cut right in front of you. They also offer a wide variety of other dishes, from hearty grilled dishes to easy-to-order bar menu items. Their drinks selection covers a wide range, from wines from around the world and craft beer to a wide variety of cocktails and the popular cold-pressed juices.
Lunch sets, priced from 1,200 to 1,900 yen, feature menus targeted at women, such as bagna cauda, fresh pasta, and salads in mason jars. A two-drink set is also provided, with an iced drink before the meal and a hot drink afterwards.
"Popular steak restaurants are all expensive, and because of the portions, they often tend to cater mainly to men. We overturn that definition by offering delicious, voluminous food at reasonable prices, and we've also made the menu broad enough so that women can feel comfortable coming in. We've put a lot of thought into both the appearance and the contents of our lunch menu, so we hope women will feel free to come and enjoy our meat dishes," says a store representative.
