Bottega Veneta has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2015 advertising campaign, shot by photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. The Spring/Summer 2015 collection showcases a refined yet relaxed vibe inspired by the free movement of dancers and other performers. Materials with a unique texture, like washed calfskin and incredibly soft lambskin, are used, giving the look a weathered feel. The men's collection features smocking, stitching, and faded finishes to recreate a worn-in look.
The women's collection features embellishments such as sequins and caviar beads. The color palette centers on deep navy and sky blue, with brighter shades such as pale, mist, and banane. Meanwhile, the men's collection uses more blue and green, pursuing a balance among pale hues.
In announcing the release of the campaign visuals, creative director Tomas Maier commented, "More than simply being provocative, I believe Araki's work is imbued with a powerful sincerity and poignant human emotion, which is what makes it so memorable."
A documentary video documenting the shoot will be released in February in the "Art of Collaboration" section of the official website.
