Marni's Fall/Winter 2015-16 men's collection returned to the runway at Pitti Immagine Uomo 87. After a six-year hiatus since 2009, this first collection was greeted with great celebration in Florence. The show's venue, the Marino Marini Museum, was a modern renovated 18th-century church showcasing a variety of large and small sculptures, including bronze knights and horses, perfectly aligned with the brand's seasonal concept. Designer Consuelo Castiglioni's consistent blend of different materials, combined with soft colors and delicate, lighter, and softer fabrics, created a new, relaxed, feminine, and genderless luxury men's line, brimming with an elegant atmosphere. This season, the brand's long-standing jacket and trouser style was given a fresh approach with the addition of suiting. Expressions inspired by the 70s were incorporated throughout the collection, such as flared pants and coats, and playful use of color on the linings of shirts and outerwear. Fur, a specialty of the brand, was used in a variety of items, mainly knitwear, and iconic items such as a goat fur bonded coat and a goat fur backpack made an appearance.
