On April 25th, ADEAM, which made its debut at this year's Spring/Summer New York Collection, opened its first directly managed store. It's perfectly located near the first-floor entrance of the newly renovated Galleria at Tokyo Midtown.
The interior of the store is based on the atmosphere of a New York atelier, with a simple white and gray color scheme. "I wanted the clothes to look like works of art, so I aimed to keep the interior minimalist to highlight the clothes," said ADEAM's designer Hanako Maeda. She decided on the placement of mirrors and the size of the flooring while consulting with an architect about blueprints. The space is filled with the scent of an original aroma she created in collaboration with @aroma. "It's been a dream of mine to have my own store. While collections and being featured in magazines are important, this space is the only place where I can interact with customers. I'm thrilled to have a base like this. Starting this fall/winter, my collection will be available on the third floor of Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, which is a great honor since it's the same floor as Chanel and Chloe. I plan to continue presenting my collections in New York," she said with joy. A crystal and coral necklace (36,000 yen) and bracelet (26,000 yen) will be available exclusively at the opening. The store will also carry three shoe brands making their Japanese debut: Tania Spinelli, Laurence Dacade, and Paul Andrew. Light snacks from Dean & Deluca will be served during shopping.
