SULA NYC's ACTIVE EDITION skincare oil has arrived in Japan. It will be released in advance of the "Simple Life" photo exhibition by surf culture-themed photographer Kuniyuki Takanami, which will be held at the Residence on the 8th floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from May 29th to June 16th. From mid-June, it will also be available at the QUOMIST men's goods shop in the PLAZA shopping malls of Shin-Maru Building and Atre Ueno. ACTIVE EDITION is a full-body beauty oil made with Vitamin E-rich argan oil, harvested only from argan trees found in Morocco, and moisturizing tocopherol (vitamin E). Its antioxidant properties, effective anti-aging properties, and effective against sunburn and dryness make it ideal for golf, jogging, and water sports. Its high penetration rate and non-greasy feel make it suitable for use on the face, body, hair, and nails. It comes in two types: a fragrance-free version made with 100% organic argan oil (59ml/6,900 yen, 118ml/12,000 yen), suitable for the entire body; and the sweet-scented "Fruit of Desire" (59ml/7,900 yen, 118ml/14,000 yen), which contains natural fragrances and can be used on all areas except the face, due to its delicate fragrance. Both types are unisex. "Since its release, the Active Edition has been extremely popular in New York. Its simple and quick care method is perfect for modern lifestyles," says Kaori Ikeda, CEO of SULA NYC Japan. SULA NYC was founded in the United States in 2009 and began selling in Manhattan, New York, in 2011. Taking inspiration from Morocco's ancient beauty practices, the company is developing skincare items using argan oil. "Sura" means "water" in Surinamese, and the name evokes the idea that the oil is as essential to the skin as water. A new size of the Active Edition is currently being produced, and small, portable bottles will be released in the future. A new lineup is also scheduled to be released this fall, including oils specifically for the hair and face, and oils with refreshing scents reminiscent of the Amazonian wilderness. A new, original-to-Japan oil fragrance is also scheduled to be released around summer next year, coinciding with the opening of a directly managed store.
