
To mark the Christmas holiday season from November 8th to December 25th, Barneys New York is running a collaborative campaign with singer-songwriter Yuming, also known as Yumi Matsutoya, called "Have a POP CLASSICO Holiday!".
The campaign is linked to the worldview of Yuming's 37th album, "Pop Classico," which will be released on the 20th of next month, as well as the artwork for her concert stage. Starting with the Ginza store on the 8th, the theme of Barneys New York's storefront show windows will gradually change to "Pop Classico."
As the first step in the initiative, creative group XEROSEN will release a T-shirt (9,975 yen) featuring the message of "Pop Classico" and an image of Yuming. The two designs are "Blue Wings," which uses Yuming's spelling "YUMING" as a focal point and incorporates the image of soaring into a pop art-style wing design to celebrate the 40th anniversary of her debut, and a logo icon designed as an homage to the Yuming photo exhibition taken by photographer Leslie Kee. They will be on sale at all Barneys New York stores from the 8th of next month.
