Christian Dada presented its Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The theme was "imperfect beauty." Designer Masanori Morikawa explained, "I wanted to express the image of a young person, around 18 years old, not quite grown up, but not quite a child." The floral and skull embroidery that adorned the entire collection was inspired by the outfits worn by motorcycle gangs. Morikawa's roots lie in his own family's embroidery business. The collection was primarily monochrome, with gold leather pieces added in the second half of the collection. For men, basic wardrobe pieces like black shirts, shorts, and stainless steel coats were mixed with sukajan jackets, rider jackets, and sweatshirts, symbolizing the rebellious spirit of youth. For women, elegant designs included peplum jackets and wrap-around dresses. The finale featured the rock band KISS, who were in Japan for a tour. The costumes worn by Paul Stanley and others were designed by Morikawa, and this collaboration was realized at the request of KISS.
