Salvatore Ferragamo is currently releasing "Walking Stories," an original short film directed by Luca Guadagnino, on its official website (www.ferragamo.com) and elsewhere. It consists of eight episodes, and a Japanese subtitled version will be released soon.
The story is a romantic comedy, with the protagonist traveling around the world and encountering coincidences, unexpected facts, and fortunate encounters. The story is set in three cities closely related to the brand: Florence (where the brand was founded), Los Angeles (where the founder's talent blossomed), and Shanghai (a symbol of the future).
In addition to young actors such as Kaya Scodelario, Lee Roy Kunz, Tom Ellis, and Billy Magnussen, the film also features model Lauren Hutton.
Director Guadagnino is from Palermo, Italy. He rose to fame after being nominated for a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, and an Academy Award for his role in the 2009 film "Milano," starring Tilda Swinton. He is currently producing a documentary about Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci, known for films such as "The Last Emperor" (1987).
