On October 25th, a new landmark, PREMIERE YOKOHAMA, opened at Yokohama Center-Kita Station. Located in Kohoku New Town, home to many young families in their 30s, the complex is operated by Premier International, a subsidiary of Urban Future Planning. The complex spans the basement (parking lot) to the rooftop, with a total floor area of 16,860 square meters. The seventh floor houses the multi-purpose hall, PREMIERE HALL. The first floor is home to J.PRESS's new business, J.PRESS CLUB, Sweets Terrace, a complex of sweets and flower shops, and the bicycle shop, SAKULA JTENSYA SHOKUNIN KYOTO. Floors two through four offer a collection of fashion items, including clothing, miscellaneous goods, and interior decor. The building's stores include Kanagawa's first women's select shop, "deep sweet easy," and "EDITION BLUE PREMIERE YOKOHAMA," an interior design shop by Otsuka Furniture and the design office nendo. The fifth floor is home to Transit General Office's new restaurant, "THE DISH AND CUP," as well as organic cosmetics, a beauty salon, and nail care. Dining tenants are scheduled to open on the sixth floor starting mid-December. The seventh-floor rooftop hall can seat 300 people and accommodate 800 standing. Future plans call for fashion shows and other events. The station is home to four facilities, including Mosaic Mall Kohoku Tsuzuki Hankyu and Yotsubako, and the neighboring Center-Minami station is home to Kohoku TOKYU S.C., and the commercial facility "Southwood" is scheduled to open on October 31st. At first glance, it appears to be a fierce battleground, but Mio Sato, sales promotion manager at Premier International, said, "Rather than competing for customers, we hope that they will shop around. We have created a tenant lineup that is not available in existing facilities, so that mothers who are away from raising their children can enjoy themselves as single women. We are also cooperating with Southwood, such as by placing advertisements in each other's shops."
