Salvatore Ferragamo has kicked off a limited-time event at The Stage on the first floor of the Isetan Shinjuku store. It runs until September 17th. The event, titled "Gancini World," focuses on four iconic bags featuring a "Gancini" clasp. In addition to the regular size, mini bags and bag-shaped charms with the same design are also available. A total of 52 items will be released in four different materials and seven color variations. Of these, "Morning Rose" and "Oro Lamé" are exclusive to Isetan Mitsukoshi, while the others will be available at Isetan Mitsukoshi first. Gancini was inspired by the gate handle of the Spini Feroni Palace, where the brand is headquartered. It is said that the Gancini motif was first used by Fiamma Ferragamo, the eldest daughter of brand founder Salvatore Ferragamo, on a bag clasp designed for her mother in the 1970s, and has now become a signature motif for the brand. The exhibition will also feature bags and stationery normally only available at the Ferragamo Museum in Florence. In response to the market trend for smaller bags, a wide variety of mini-sized iconic bags are available, catering to a wider range of age groups. The store's promotional space on the second floor will also feature Gancini-themed shoes until the 24th, featuring zippers, just like this season's women's collection. During the exhibition, women's and men's shoemakers from the Florentine workshop will visit Japan. They will demonstrate techniques passed down since the 1920s at the women's shoe promotion corner on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku and at the Salvatore Ferragamo store on the fifth floor of the Men's Building on the 15th. The exhibition will run from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
