J.Press opens its first multi-purpose store at Premier Yokohama

Oct 25, 2013

Onward Kashiyama opened J.PRESS's first multi-purpose shop, "J.PRESS CLUB," on the first floor of the commercial facility "Premier Yokohama," which opened on the 25th. Located at the main entrance of Premier Yokohama, the shop's large opening lets in natural light. The bright, white-themed interior features comfortable sofas and a play area for children. Targeting families in their 30s, a demographic increasingly common in the Kohoku New Town area where the facility is located, the shop offers a wide selection of items, primarily for men, women, and children, as well as pet supplies and sundries. While each item is categorized, the center of the store showcases J.PRESS's core items, such as oxford shirts, chino pants, and fleece sweatshirts, in all sizes for men, women, and children. While the store's focus is on traditional styles, the selection also features a slightly more casual feel to suit specific customer needs. The shop also offers the brand's first select items. The store will sell tote bags from the "Le Bag" line of American fashion brand United Bamboo, for which Onward Kashiyama holds the domestic trademark rights, pet supplies from group company Creative Yoko, and original bicycles created in collaboration with Sakura Bicycles' "the PARK." "We have many excellent shops within our group, so we took advantage of that. I think we've been able to leverage Onward Kashiyama's unique strengths," said a spokesperson. The store also offers fabric care products and interior goods, proposing a complete lifestyle. "We had originally envisioned creating a multi-purpose store, and we even considered a street-level store, but the timing coincided with the opening of Premier Yokohama. The commercial facility, located in the heart of Kohoku New Town, which attracts many families, was the perfect location for a brand that appeals to a wide range of customers, from adults to children, and is reassuring," said the spokesperson.
