The Sotetsu Group has begun renovations of the Sotetsu Joinus station building and The Diamond underground shopping mall at the west exit of Yokohama Station. The two facilities will be integrated over the next three years. The combined sales floor area for both facilities is 35,600 square meters. The first basement floor area, connecting the two facilities, and the second to fourth floors of Sotetsu Joinus will be renovated under the concept of "Making the everyday wonderful." The basement floor will feature an expanded food section. The ground floor will offer fashion and lifestyle goods, and a cafe will also be opened. This fall, the first phase will see the reopening of the new "young casual" floor, with approximately 50 stores, including 10 new brands from the prefecture. The new floors will be expanded by the summer of 2016, with each area opening sequentially. The website and floor guide will also be integrated to coincide with the start of the renovations.
