Dec 25, 2012

A pop-up shop for "TAKASHI NISHIYAMA," the brand by Takashi Nishiyama, the first Japanese to win the Grand Prix at ITS (International Talent Support), Europe's largest fashion contest, will open at Laforet Harajuku on December 26th. Nishiyama was born in 1987. After graduating from Bunka Fashion College's Apparel Design Department, he completed the advanced course at Coconogacco, run by writtenafterwards designer Yoshikazu Yamagata. In addition to winning the Grand Prix at ITS in 2010, he was also selected as a finalist at the Mango Fashion Awards in Barcelona, Spain, in May of this year, where he presented his first full women's collection. Despite not having officially launched his brand, his future endeavors are attracting attention not only from Japan but from around the world.

In addition to TAKASHI NISHIYAMA's collection pieces (price range: 40,000 to 300,000 yen), which are mainly one-of-a-kind items, this pop-up shop will also launch his second line, TAKASHI NISHIYAMA_ (Takashi Nishiyama Under, price range: 9,000 to 40,000 yen). Designer Nishiyama himself will be on hand to greet customers at the store.
