Sweets artist KUNIKA holds "sweet" solo exhibition in Shibuya

Sweets artist KUNIKA has opened his solo exhibition, "KUNIKA 4th Exhibition [Twilight Magic]," at the interior goods shop "notoria." in Shibuya, Tokyo. It runs until the 13th.

The exhibition brings together KUNIKA's work, which ranges from magazine and book photography to the creation of original icing cookies for brands. Original merchandise will also be available for purchase. The exhibition also features image visuals featuring former SKE48 member Kanako Hiramatsu as a model, as well as the artist's largest sugar cake to date, expressing KUNIKA's unique worldview.

KUNIKA graduated from the Japan Confectionery College. After training as a pastry chef at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo, he became a freelance sweets artist. His work includes creating sugar cakes, fresh cakes, and icing cookies for photography, as well as creating objects and costumes, illustrations, and wedding coordination. The fairy tale-themed "Sweet Fairy Tale" has been serialized in the magazine "CUTiE" since its August issue.
