Begin x Isetan Men's, "World Masterpiece Expo" held. Adult gachapon appears.

Sep 22, 2014

The "World Masterpiece Expo," a collaboration between the magazine "Begin" and Isetan Men's, will begin on September 23rd and run until the 28th. It will be held in the event hall on the 6th floor of the main building.

"World Masterpiece Expo" is an event where buyers from the store's men's department and the editorial team of "Begin" travel around the world to collect items worthy of being called masterpieces, and this year marks the fourth time it has been held.

The venue is filled with limited-edition items that can only be purchased at the Expo, and every year the store is overflowing with visitors looking for their desired items. In response to this positive response, the venue has been scaled up this year. A handy-sized "Expo 2014 Venue Map" has even been prepared to entertain fans even before the event begins. The venue features areas featuring Begin's popular series "Classic Textbook" and "Item Paradise," as well as a women's fashion booth aimed at readers of the magazine's sister magazine, La La Begin, offering a variety of unique trinkets. If you're looking for a fashion item to wear this fall and winter, check out Macintosh's Waverly Down (¥153,000), an updated version of the classic Waverly down jacket. Also available are Crockett & Jones' tassel loafers (¥108,000), available in a limited run of just 12 pieces, and a mini pouch tote bag (¥35,000) made from navy digital camo fabric discovered by chance at Briefing's US factory. Other items that will be useful from this time of year include a Guy Rover x FAIRFAX dress shirt (¥23,000), tailored to the perfect size for Japanese people using Italian tailoring techniques; a Mackintosh Philosophy three-way trotter coat (¥72,000), which can be worn stylishly without the down jacket; and SPINGLE MOVE sneakers (¥18,000), made from deadstock parachute fabric from the US military. If you're particular about underwear, be sure to check out the "Pants Expo" booth, which features a selection of pants from around the world. Each product's features are explained in detail, so you're sure to find the perfect pair for you. If you're interested in skincare, be sure to check out the booth of men's skincare brand Aramis LAB SERIES. By using the optimal skincare products determined through skin analysis, you can improve your skin's clarity and even look younger than usual. For the ultimate in beautiful skin, consider purchasing an Orobianco skincare set that includes a pouch.

Of course, it's not just fashion and beauty. There's also a wide variety of fun items, such as hangers with a Mount Fuji motif and the Fugakuemon Kakkei (Fugaku-emon Kakkei, men's 4,000 yen, women's 3,000 yen), so it's a great place to choose a gift.

If you're a game lover, you should definitely try out the "Otona Mono Gacha" (Adult Mono Gacha), where you can win exclusive items from Mono-Haku and items from popular brands. For 500 yen per turn, there are some incredibly unique capsule machines where you can win prizes such as Whitehouse Cox key chains, Mono-Haku socks, Sanuki udon noodles with a Curly clutch, Master-piece coin purses, Columbus suede powder, and Nigel Cabourn ribbon buttons. Don't miss out on this opportunity at Mono-Haku!
