"Original Stitch" allows you to order 1 billion different shirts online. New project: shirt competition

Sep 22, 2014

Original Stitch, a service that allows users to order customized shirts online, is booming. Launched in 2013 to address the concerns of Silicon Valley engineers who found it inconvenient to go shopping for clothes, the service boasts 70,000 registered members worldwide. Launched in Japan in April 2014, the service surpassed 10,000 registered members within three months. Currently, there are 18,000 registered members. Customers can order a wide variety of shirts, from dress shirts to casual wear. Customization is possible down to the smallest details, including sleeves, collars, buttons, and pleats. With over 250 fabrics, 12 collar fabrics and lining sleeves, 9 sleeve fabrics and linings, and 10 button colors, the site offers over 1 billion possible combinations. The site's 3D design system allows for real-time design. A realistic silhouette is displayed, making designing intuitive and effortless. Sizing is also possible by entering neck, waist, chest, and waist measurements to ensure a perfect fit. The shirts are produced in a Japanese factory that also handles products for famous brands, and due to their high quality, they boast a repeat customer rate of 40 to 50%. Prices start from 7,500 yen, with free domestic shipping. Currently, only men's shirts are available, but they are considering adding women's shirts in the future.

In addition, this month they launched a project called "Shirt Battle," which allows you to find your favorite shirt using a diagnostic app-like method. By selecting which shirt you prefer 10 times, you can find the perfect shirt for you from over 1 billion combinations. The winning shirt can be purchased as a custom-made shirt with customizable sleeves, collars, buttons, and pleats.
