Original Stitch launches service that lets you open your own shirt shop for free

Sep 30, 2014

Original Stitch, an online retailer specializing in custom-made shirts, has launched a new platform called "Original Stitch Designer Shops," allowing users to open a free shirt shop. Original Stitch allows users to customize shirts by combining materials and design elements in 3D while choosing from a total of 1 billion patterns. The service launched in Japan in April 2014 and currently has 18,000 registered users. The new service, "Original Stitch Designer Shops," leverages this system. Users can design their own shirts by choosing from over 200 fabrics, sleeves, collars, buttons, pleats, and other details. Simply enter the shop name, payment details, and promotional information, and open your own shop on the brand's website. The service also functions as a curated design suggestion service for users who find it difficult to customize their own shirts.

Although there is a minimum sales amount, the rest can be set freely. 12% of sales is distributed to the designer, but this can also be donated. Because the items are made to order, there is no need to worry about holding inventory, and payment, shipping, and support are all handled by Original Stitch.

Stylists, models, talents, and bloggers have already set up shops using this platform.
