I wanted the campaign to capture the collection from two different creative perspectives, drawing on these concepts. I teamed up with the incredible stylist Katie England to create two juxtaposed images that convey a beautiful and powerful fluidity. I'm thrilled that photographers Mert & Marcus and Chris Rose were able to bring their unique perspectives to life."Riccardo Tisci, Burberry Chief Creative Officer
Celebrating this season's exploration of fluidity and the power of individuality, Burberry unveils its Fall/Winter 2021 campaign, contrasting different perspectives.
The campaign plays on the concept of duality, juxtaposing classic, simple studio shots by Mert & Marcus with bold snapshots taken by Chris Rose backstage at the Fall/Winter 2021 presentation. Through these opposing perspectives, the collection itself is transformed, further highlighting differences of perspective and freedom of expression.
Riccardo Tisci's Burberry Autumn/Winter 2021 collection explores modern narratives of femininity and masculinity, rewriting them into a tale of boldness and opportunity. The collection pays homage to the indomitable power of Mother Nature and the British craftsmanship and outdoor movement that flourished in the early 20th century, expressing empathy for the brave people who broke away from convention and took to the wilderness to build a better future.
