Fauchon makes the traditional French pastry dagquoise into a stick. What's the summer-only flavor?

May 29, 2016

From May 25th to August 5th, Parisian gourmet brand FAUCHON will be selling a limited-time sweet called "Dacquoise Assortie" (3 types x 4 pieces / 5,000 yen).

This time, the traditional French pastry, dacquoise, is made with an almond-flavored meringue pastry sandwiched between jam and cream. While the round shape of this dacquoise is reminiscent in Japan, this time it's been given a modern twist in a stick shape and topped with colorful chocolate.

The set includes 4 pieces of each of the 3 types: "Banille Mango," made with whipped white chocolate vanilla cream and mango confit; "Framboise Chocolat," made with raspberry jam sandwiched between red chocolate and a dark chocolate ganache; and "Chocolat Noisette," made with milk chocolate ganache and fragrant hazelnuts. You can enjoy the marriage of the rich aroma of almonds, the crispy texture on the outside, and the mellow cream inside.

This product will only be available for delivery at all Takashimaya stores. Delivery will begin on June 1st.
