Starting this fall, Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills will be offering special Halloween-themed menus and sweets, allowing guests to fully enjoy the flavors of autumn. This year, an "Oktoberfest" event will also be held on the first-floor terrace seating at Toranomon Hills. The "Andaz Tavern" lounge will offer a semi-buffet-style "Halloween Weekend Brunch" (¥8,000, or ¥9,000 with a glass of champagne, tax and service charge not included) on the three-day weekend of October 24th, 25th, and 31st. The menu includes traditional Halloween dishes, appetizers such as fresh salads and cold seafood, and main courses such as juicy steaks and carefully selected seasonal fish. A la carte dishes include "Homemade Marinated Salmon with Onsen Egg and Potato Croquettes," "Truffle Egg Cocotte, and Lobster Risotto." During the Halloween period, the store will be decorated with soothing music such as soft jazz, light opera, and waltz, and unique jack-o'-lanterns made by the hotel chef will be displayed on the buffet table.
In addition, the pastry shop will be selling a variety of special Halloween sweets from October 1st to 31st, created by pastry chef Masateru Okazaki. The lineup includes "Pumpkin Pie" (500 yen) made with plenty of organic pumpkin, "Pumpkin Pudding" (750 yen) made with sweet jars, "Ghost" (650 yen) made with meringue, and finger-shaped almond cookies "Finger Cookies" (650 yen).
From September 18th to November 1st, cafe and bar "BeBu" will be offering an "Oktoberfest" plan, where you can enjoy authentic German cuisine and cold draft beer. This is a reference to Oktoberfest, the world's largest beer festival, held in Munich, Bavaria, Germany from September to October. During the festival, authentic German beer will be served in traditional German half-mugs (0.5 liters), as well as a wide variety of other drinks, including domestic craft beers.
Along with beer, you can also enjoy traditional German dishes that go perfectly with draft beer, created by Andaz Tokyo's sous-chef, Gregor Strain, who is originally from Bavaria, where Oktoberfest is held. The menu includes "Beef Goulash," a traditional beef dish stewed in onion and paprika sauce, and "Pork Belly," marinated in beer and then grilled in a special BBQ sauce.
