Grand Hyatt Tokyo unveils limited-time Halloween menu featuring pumpkin pudding and gelato

Jul 26, 2015

The Grand Hyatt Tokyo hotel in Roppongi, Tokyo, will be offering a limited-time Halloween menu starting September 1st.

The first-floor pastry boutique, Fiorentina Pastry Boutique, will be selling limited-edition Halloween-themed sweets from September 1st to October 31st. The Halloween-only version (1,200 yen) of Fiore, a baked confectionery that changes fruits with the season, features a kouglof-shaped pastry filled with powdered and diced pumpkin. A chocolate pumpkin is placed on top of a matcha ganache, creating a Halloween-themed feel.

Other items available include the Jack-o'-Lantern (4,000 yen), a chocolate pumpkin lantern filled with candy and other sweets, and Halloween-themed cookies (650 to 700 yen) in the shape of ghosts and bats. From October 1st to 31st, the Italian cafe "Fiorentina" on the first floor will be selling a Halloween-only menu, "Halloween Gelato" (1,800 yen), made with soft-serve ice cream. The gelato is topped with caramel sauce, pumpkin pudding, soft-serve ice cream, spider webs made from choux pastry, and bat-shaped chocolates. From October 1st to 31st, the stakehouse "Oak Door" on the sixth floor will be offering a Halloween menu with a buffet-style party plan that can be enjoyed in a private room. Ten elaborately designed finger foods with a Halloween motif will be available, including bat-shaped chicken wings and ghost-shaped pumpkin cheese dip. An à la carte menu will also be available, featuring Moroccan-style pumpkin stew made with plenty of chickpeas and other vegetables stuffed into a pumpkin. The all-day dining restaurant "French Kitchen" on the second floor will be offering a family-only "Family Halloween Brunch" (8,800 yen for adults, 4,200 yen for children) for three days only, on October 30th, 31st, and November 1st. Guests can enjoy over 15 Halloween-themed dishes, including pumpkin gratin, soup, salad, and dessert, with free flow. The dress code for children is Halloween costumes, and staff will also be dressed up to greet guests during the event.
