Bottega Veneta holds special event at Shinjuku Isetan, featuring life-size Blythe dolls

May 22, 2014

Bottega Veneta will hold a limited-time event, "The Colors of Bottega Veneta," at the Isetan Shinjuku store from May 28th. The event will take over 15 of the store's windows, expressing the brand's unique worldview, centered around color, an important element for the brand and the starting point for its collections. Blythe, the life-size fashion doll that has graced boutique windows around the world, including Japan, since the beginning of this year, will also appear dressed in apparel from the early fall collection. The early fall collection will be showcased on The Stage on the first floor of the main building. The event will feature handbags and accessories, including nappa leather intrecciato pieces, as well as new releases from the brand's signature Veneta model, and will be available for sale in Japan exclusively. This event, which highlights seasonal colors, will run until June 3rd.

On the fourth floor, a special exhibition will be held focusing on the craftsmanship and colors of the Cabat, the brand's iconic series and the first item designed by creative director Tomas Maier. Previously released models and various versions of the Cabat will be on display and for sale, and there will also be an installation showcasing all the Cabat models from the past. In addition, to coincide with this event, a limited edition of 50 mist-colored Cabats will be sold exclusively at the store. Available until June 10th.

The Early Fall collection features a color palette that mainly uses pale hues such as mist, light gray, sand, and beige pink, with contrasting accent colors such as burnt red, chartreuse, purple, and emerald green.
