Today, May 29th, a collaboration event between Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta and Isetan Shinjuku kicked off. This is the largest event to date featuring a single brand at the store. Running until June 11th, Bottega Veneta will be taking over 15 windows and the stages on each floor of the main building (the first floor stage will be open until the 4th).
For this event, four artisans from the brand's Vicenza workshop are visiting Japan for the first time. The fourth-floor event space is a replica of the workshop, featuring leather and tools, showcasing the craftsmanship of the brand's signature Veneta bags. Artisans will demonstrate intrecciato (weaving) techniques, and customers will also be able to hand-stitch initials made from crocodile leather onto their purchased bags. This hand-stitching service is available only during this period.
The Early Fall Collection will also be released in Japan early. Among the collection's seasonal colors, petal-colored (pink) items will be available for pre-sale worldwide. The lineup includes a variety of items, including new butterfly-motif bags and leather accessories, and pumps featuring the brand's signature intrecciato pattern on the heel.
The displays on each floor will also be decorated in petal colors, and the iconic train motif is designed to invite people on a journey into the world of Bottega Veneta.
