VIKTOR & ROLF has opened a pop-up store on the third floor of the Isetan Men's Building. The store features items from its 2014 Spring/Summer collection, inspired by school uniforms, featuring playful details such as patterns, textures, and combinations of different materials. The store will be open until June 10th. Cropped skinny pants paired with a tight short jacket create a sharp and sophisticated silhouette. The pieces combine casual and luxury, with zippers and buttons that change their appearance when opened. T-shirts and sweatshirt outerwear are also available for a sporty casual look. The color palette is based on midnight blue, gray, and white, with electric blue accents. The image this time is not of a good student, but of a slightly rebellious schoolboy. The collection will include a shirt with a "Flying Book" pattern (3 colors/56,000 yen) inspired by students throwing books at each other in a classroom, and a T-shirt (4 colors/25,000 yen) with an ironic print inspired by old books and calligraphy.
Other items on the lineup include a T-shirt (4 colors/25,000 yen) featuring glasses, an iconic item of the two designers, as a design motif, a dress shirt (long sleeve/52,000 yen, short sleeve/42,000 yen), and an unconstructed jacket (128,000 yen) that is popular with people of all ages as its 72cm length suits the Japanese body type.
