mintdesigns' first street-level store, "mintdesigns aoyama," will open on August 5th in Aoyama, Tokyo (5-49-5 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).
For the past nine years, mintdesigns had operated a directly managed garage store on the first basement floor of Shibuya Parco Part 1, but closed on July 20th due to the temporary closure of the building on August 7th. When considering opening a new directly managed store, the brand decided to open a street-level store, something they had always wanted to do, at this juncture, marking 15 years since the brand was founded. Omotesando is a place that holds special ties to mintdesigns, as it was the company's base office when the brand was founded, and designers Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi say, "It feels like we're 'coming home.'"
In addition to the main collection line, the shop will carry all lines produced by Mint Designs, including the daily line "SKETCH mintdesigns," the home line using original textiles, and the kids' line. Also available at the time of opening will be jewelry from tmh., a brand the designer himself loves, and there are plans to continue to add more items selected by the designer himself, such as books and products.
The store was designed by Nagasaka Jo of Schemata Architects. Natural light pours in through two large windows, creating a bright and transparent feel. The fixtures, which are suspended from the ceiling by wires, can be rearranged freely, allowing visitors to experience a fresh experience each time.

Limited edition items to commemorate the opening, such as T-shirts and denim tote bags
Limited edition items to commemorate the opening will also be available. In addition to T-shirts, denim tote bags, dresses, and aprons, a special version of doll pins with the words "MINT AOYAMA" will also be released. In addition, customers who spend over 20,000 yen will receive a free pass case (one of four types) on a first-come, first-served basis.
