British singer Rita Ora is the new model for Madonna's mother-daughter brand "Material Girl"

22-year-old British singer Rita Ora has been chosen as the advertising model for the 2013-14 Autumn/Winter season of Material Girl, a fashion brand created by Madonna and her 16-year-old daughter Lourdes. Rita is a regular on the front row at fashion week. Following in the footsteps of Alexa Chung, she has also been selected as a model for shoe brand Superrga, making her a British fashion icon. Madonna and her daughter commented that "Not only is she talented and beautiful, but we were drawn to her confidence and unique style that exudes through her music." Previous advertisements for the brand have included Taylor Momsen, actress and singer from the TV drama "Gossip Girl," Kelly Osbourne, and Georgia May Jagger. The Material Girl Fall/Winter collection will be released in July and will be sold at Macy's stores in the US, as well as in Canada, Australia, Europe, and other countries.
