To coincide with the launch of its Fall/Winter 2013 collection, Christian Louboutin unveiled a window display designed by the designer himself. Inspired by ancient Egypt, the display features sphinxes and murals. It will be on display at boutiques in Paris, New York, and London. The collection is focused on jewel colors, tartan, lace, and silhouette. Louboutin's signature pointed-toe shoes feature a new silhouette with a thinner heel, metallic bronze, deep blue suede accented with gold rock studs, and knee-high red leather boots. Oxford-style shoes also feature pointed toes, crafted from a variety of materials, including blue-gray stingray leather, metallic bronze python, and leopard-print hair calf leather. For men, loafers adorned with mustaches made from dyed red hair calf leather and slip-ons with military embroidery are featured. The bag lineup includes a shoulder bag made of red quilted-style matelassé (puffed weave) fabric and a chain bag adorned with gold ribbons.
