Jean-Paul Hévin releases limited edition Christmas chocolates with a star motif

Oct 29, 2015

Jean-Paul Hevin will be releasing a new chocolate line for Christmas, the "Advent Collection," from November 1st to December 25th.

The "Kuglof Star Chocolat" (3,700 yen) is an adaptation of a traditional Advent confectionery from the Alsace region. The chocolate-flavored dough is baked until fluffy and coated with chocolat noir made from Madagascar cacao. The "Kuglof Star Caramel Salé" (3,700 yen) is another variation on the kouglof. The fluffy dough has a bitter caramel flavor and vanilla aroma, and is topped with a chocolate ornament decorated with a star mark.

Also available are "Bonbon Star" (314 yen), made with Brazilian Grand Cru cacao, characterized by the flavor and bitterness of nuts and coffee, and the tartness of yellow fruit, and "Macaron Star" (270 yen), which is filled with a generous amount of lightly sweetened ganache. Also available is "Fondue au Chocolat" (2,700 yen), designed like a candle, which can be melted in a hot water bath to easily enjoy chocolate fondue at home. Also, from November 19th, "Marron Glacée" (618 yen), a large chestnut soaked in syrup and coated with a clear coating of granulated sugar and syrup, will be available.
