Jean-Paul Hévin releases new cake dessert inspired by street art

Oct 15, 2015

Jean-Paul Hevin has begun accepting pre-orders for its new "Buche de Noel" in stores and online boutiques since October.

The "Buche de Noel" to be released this time was created based on Jean-Paul Hevin's new 2015-2016 theme, "LES PIEDS SUR TERRE, LA TETE DANS LES ETOILES (Feet on the ground, heads above the stars)." Inspired by the street art that permeates the city, the lineup is visually stimulating and artistic.

The "Buche 'Street Art'" (12,000 yen), accented with almond sable crustian, is an African cacao mousse encasing a chocolate biscuit and hazelnut creme chiboust. The surface of the chocolate shell that encases the biche is decorated with spray-painted art. The frozen delivery cake "Buche du Voyage 'Interstellar'" (5,400 yen) is decorated with a chocolate plate reminiscent of space and is made up of gianduja with black sesame seeds, a star anise-scented biscuit, Brazilian cacao mousse, and coffee-flavored dacquoise.

Other cakes available include "Buche Divine Socle" (10,000 yen), a light chocolate noir mousse made with fragrantly roasted Venezuelan cacao, and "Buche d'Enfer Socle" (10,000 yen), a buckwheat honey chiboust wrapped in chocolate noir mousse made with Madagascar cacao and scented with red fruits. In addition, the "Buche Divine Socle" and "Buche d'Enfer Socle" are also available as "Buche Divine" (5,500 yen) and "Buche d'Enfer" (5,500 yen), which allow you to enjoy just the bushes themselves, without the chocolate base.
