From July 11th to August 16th, JINS will be opening "JINS VAN," a mobile sunglasses sales outlet with the concept of "protecting the eyes of everyone enjoying the summer from UV rays," at summer spots across Japan.
Previously, JINS opened "FUJIYAMA JINS," a store designed to protect the eyes of climbers, at Fujikyu Railway Kawaguchiko Station in 2013 and Fujikyu Unjokaku, the fifth station on the Yamanashi side of Mount Fuji, in 2014. This summer, the brand will not limit its activities to the mountains; as part of the "JIN VAN Japan Tour 2015," the company will be setting up "JIN VAN" stores in a variety of locations where UV protection is essential, including tourist spots such as the beach where there is little shade from the sun, and urban areas where the glare from the asphalt is strong.
JIN VAN, characterized by its bright red body, offers a selection of approximately 150 carefully selected sunglasses in a spacious store built using an Airstream. Original sunglasses featuring prints inspired by each store location and summer will also be on sale. There will also be a UV meter installed to measure UV rays levels. Customers who purchase products will also receive an original sunglasses case that changes color depending on the amount of UV rays.
The stores will be located at Shichirigahama Seaside on July 11th and 12th, at AEON Mall Musashimurayama from July 14th to 19th, and at Yuigahama Beach on July 25th and 26th, with store locations to be announced from August onwards.
