Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse will once again host its summer event, "RED BRICK RESORT 2015," from July 31st to August 30th. This marks the fifth year that "RED BRICK RESORT 2015" has been held. Taking advantage of the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse's location facing Yokohama Port, the venue has been designed to create a space that makes visitors feel like they're at a beach resort overseas, even while in Japan. This year's theme is "American West Coast." At the entrance to the venue, 50 tons of white sand imported from Australia will be laid out, creating an area where even children can play barefoot. A 20-meter-long wooden pier will be built in the center of the beach as a symbol of the American West Coast. Additionally, 24 beach beds will be set up next to the pier for visitors to lie down and relax. In the wooden deck area at the end of the pier, popular West Coast American foods like Mexican taco rice and California burritos will be on sale, as well as smoothies made with vegetables and fruit.
In addition, overwater sofa seats will be set up in the ocean-facing area beyond the wooden deck. Next to the sofa seats, there will be a foot bath where you can soak your feet in the cool water while admiring the view of Yokohama Port. There will also be workshops where you can make your own art and marine-themed items.
