"Steak Revolution," a meat documentary film depicting a journey to determine the world's best steak, will be released in October at Ebisu's mini-theater "YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA" and other venues.

"Steak Revolution" is a road movie that follows director Frank Riviera as he travels around steakhouses, famous and unknown, with his favorite butcher, Yves-Marie Le Bourdonnec, as they determine the world's top 10 steaks. The two visited over 200 steakhouses in 20 countries in their quest to find the "world's most delicious steak." The film was also officially entered in the Culinary category at the 62nd San Sebastian International Film Festival, which recognizes films with a food and gastronomy theme. Yves-Marie Le Bourdonnec, who stars in this film, is the owner of a butcher shop that was chosen as the "Best Butcher in Paris" out of 125 butcher shops in a mystery shop run by the French weekly magazine L'Express in 2003. He is also the founder of the "I Love Bidoche" (I Love Meat) movement and has acted as a host for a French documentary program on the meat industry. When he came to Japan, where the aged meat boom was in full swing, he taught the "guaranteed method of grilling delicious meat" on Nippon Television's "The World's Most Wanted Lesson." He is currently attracting attention around the world as a "meat expert." Steak Revolution will be released in October at YEBISU GARDEN CINEMA and other cinemas nationwide.
