The second branch of the hugely popular Wolfgang's Steakhouse opens in Marunouchi

Oct 19, 2014

The second Japanese branch of New York-based steakhouse Wolfgang's Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener will open at 5:00 PM on December 8th on the first basement floor of the Meiji Seimeikan, an important cultural property in Marunouchi, Tokyo (Marunouchi MY PLAZA Meiji Seimeikan, B1F, 2-1-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). The restaurant uses rare beef certified as "Prime Grade," the highest quality beef on an eight-level USDA scale, which is awarded to less than 5% of all beef produced in the United States. The beef is transported chilled, without being frozen. Dry-aging the beef for approximately 28 days in a specialized aging warehouse enhances its tender texture and flavor. After roughly one-third of the surface of the lean meat is removed, it is sliced thick and grilled in a 900-degree oven. The steaks, served on piping hot plates with a sizzling sound, are truly a sight to behold. Crispy on the outside and dripping with juices, the inside is juicy and delicious. Their signature dish is the "T-Bone Steak" (for two, ¥15,000), featuring both fillet and sirloin. Other dishes include "New York Sirloin Steak" (¥7,500), "Ribeye Steak" (¥8,900), and "Prime Filet Mignon" (¥7,500). Other options include "Seafood Platter" (¥4,000), "Wolfgang's Crab Cake" (¥2,600), "Wolfgang's Salad" (¥1,800), and "Sizzling Bacon" (¥700). Desserts include "Apple Strudel" (¥1,200) and "Key Lime Pie" (¥1,200). The restaurant's interior is elegant and sophisticated. The façade features an eye-catching, high-quality burgundy tent and carpet, while the reception and bar counter exude a sense of elegance and serenity. A dynamic chandelier from the ceiling welcomes guests in the dining hall, while white tablecloths and leather sofas create a special atmosphere. Four private rooms, accessible via a separate entrance, are ideal for private parties. Reservations will begin on November 8th. Wolfgang's Steakhouse was founded in New York in 2004 and has become extremely popular as a "superb steakhouse," impressing American celebrities, Hollywood stars, and many other gourmets. Currently, there are four locations in New York, as well as New Jersey, Waikiki, Miami, Beverly Hills, and Roppongi. The newly opened Marunouchi location will be the 10th. The first Japanese restaurant, the Roppongi restaurant, opened in February and became an instant hit, with dinner reservations still required a month-long waiting list even now, eight months after opening.
