"Beauty Graphics Exhibition 2015 'BATTLE'" is an exhibition by Shiseido's proud art directors and creators.

Jul 16, 2015

Shiseido's "Beauty Graphics 2015 'BATTLE'" exhibition opened on the 13th and runs until September 30th in the window displays on the first floor of the Shiseido Ginza Building and in the exhibition space on the second floor.

The "Beauty Graphics 2015 'BATTLE'" exhibition showcases collaborative works by three creative specialists representing Shiseido's Advertising and Design Department and creators both within and outside the company. The window displays on the first floor feature humorous depictions of women's beautiful struggles. These works were created by creative specialist Katsura Maruhashi in collaboration with Shiseido's top hair and makeup artist Hirofumi Keira, photographer Masato Kanazawa, and stylist Sachiko Ito.

Furthermore, the exhibition space on the second floor features graphic works by creative specialists Takayasu Yamada, Sonomi Sato, and Katsura Maruhashi, each of whom collaborated with a different creator. Sonomi Sato's "A motion" visualizes the energy emitted from the entire body and the trajectory that emerges from the process of movement, based on the concept of "A motion (A motion & emotion = physical movement that moves the heart)." Shiseido's top hair and makeup artist, Tadashi Harada, attempted to create a hairstyle that is only completed through the model's movements. Katsura Maruhashi exhibited "vs 'IMAGE'," in which the colors and textures of foundation and eyeshadow are layered on a woman who closes her eyes and imagines herself in the future. Takayasu Yamada's "A GIRL 20XX SHISEIDO" reinterprets the world of science fiction to express the image and makeup of women of the near future. All of these graphic works were printed using Dai Nippon Printing's "Primo Art" high-definition printing technology, which combines a rich 10-color palette with the latest image retouching technology.
