
The documentary film "Ice Fireworks: Yamaguchi Sayoko," which depicts the hidden side of the late Yamaguchi Sayoko, Japan's first supermodel who captivated the world, will be released in the fall of 2015. Yamaguchi Sayoko was Japan's leading top model and the first Asian model to be featured in the Paris Collection. She was active in the Paris and New York Collections and also served as an exclusive model for Shiseido. She was featured in the American magazine Newsweek as one of the "four top models in the world," and she continued to inspire famous fashion designers such as Kansai Yamamoto, Kenzo Takada, Yves Saint Laurent, and Jean Paul Gaultier. This film tells the story of Yamaguchi Sayoko's life through the words of people close to her, including Kansai Yamamoto and Serge Lutens. Shiseido, which used Yamaguchi Sayoko as its exclusive model, cooperated in various aspects of the film, including graphic design, providing materials, and filming at the Shiseido Corporate Museum.
