British luxury car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover Japan held an event at the British Embassy in Tokyo on June 5th to celebrate the launch of its new sports car, the F-Type Coupe. The F-Type Coupe is Jaguar's first sports car in nearly 50 years. It features a lightweight all-aluminum body and a sophisticated exterior design that's instantly recognizable as a Jaguar. Ahead of the F-Type Coupe's release, the company launched a launch campaign called "Good to be Bad," expressing the worldview of "British Villains." Anna Tsuchiya and Angelica Michibata appeared at the event as special guests to represent the worldview of "British Villains," showcasing their glamorous outfits. Tsuchiya's outfit featured blue pumps as a stylish accent. She wore a dazzling dress covered in studs, inspired by the lighting effects she felt while watching the F-Type Coupe movie. "The studs express the wildness of the new model within the refined image of the Jaguar brand," she commented. Angelica also showed off a dress with bold jewels on the chest. The back was laced up, and she commented, "I aimed for a stylish yet elegant woman."
The two guests also coordinated male models with British villain-inspired designs to suit the person they would like to sit next to in the F-Type Coupe. Tsuchiya's British-inspired look, complete with a bow tie, exuded a slightly bad-boy image with a red handkerchief tucked in his pocket. The style matched the red F-Type Coupe. Meanwhile, Angelica, considering the compatibility with the white F-Type Coupe, chose to go tieless for a casual look, but added a stole to add elegance.
In addition, the F-Type Coupe's advertising campaign movie features three British actors who often play villains: Sir Ben Kingsley, who has appeared in films such as Iron Man 3, Tom Hiddleston, who has appeared in Thor, and Mark Strong, who has appeared in Sherlock Holmes and John Carter. The movie is scheduled to be released in Japan as a TV commercial in late June.
