Each surfboard is handcrafted in the carpentry workshop at Bentley's Crewe factory. The material used is rare Koa wood, typically used in the interiors of Bentley Grand Tourers. Marnie Rays founder Lindsay Holland and Otter Surfboards founder James Otter selected the board following a visit to the company's Crewe headquarters, with advice from Bentley's skilled craftsmen. Since its founding, Bentley has been committed to creating luxurious and sophisticated interiors using sustainably sourced wood. Today, the finest woods, selected from around the world, remain at the heart of its craftsmanship.

Bentley's skilled craftsmen in Crewe meticulously crafted the rare wood using traditional techniques not used since the end of production of the Bentley Mulsanne. The material was then sent to James Otter's workshop in Cornwall, where he meticulously hand-carved each board into a unique piece. The completed surfboard was beautifully etched by the production team with the logos of Bentley, Marnie Rays, and Otter Surfboards.

The special surfboard was officially unveiled by the three companies at a VIP surf retreat hosted by Marnie Rays, where guests were able to experience its beauty and performance on the waves for the first time. Following the unveiling, Bentley, Marnie Rays, and Otter Surfboards donated the surfboard to Surfability UK, a UK social enterprise that provides adaptive surfing experiences for people with disabilities, injuries, and learning disabilities. The donated surfboards will be auctioned off, with proceeds supporting the organisation's vision of "bringing the joy of the ocean to everyone".
