AO SPA AND CLUB will open at the Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills hotel, which opens on June 11th. Based on the concept of "Andaz," which means "personal style" in Hindi, the spa will feature three spaces: treatment rooms where guests can experience personalized care from skilled therapists; a fitness center equipped with Technogym's ARTIS, the first of its kind in a Japanese hotel; and a homey relaxation space. AO offers tailored treatment menus (30 to 120 minutes, priced from ¥14,000 to ¥46,000) incorporating guests' favorite seasons and music, seasonal herbs, and the latest technology. The spa's signature product is a natural skincare line made with extracts of plants native to Mount Fuji. Facial treatments also use products from Barcelona-born anti-aging brand Natura Bisse and French spa brand THEMAE, which uses tea extracts as its main ingredient.
The spatial design of the 1,350-square-meter spa was handled by designer Shinichiro Ogata, head of Simplicity. Natural materials, water, light and shadow are combined, and Japanese paper is used for lighting. Original cocktails and drinks made with fresh herbs and tea are also available.
The pool and fitness facilities are only available to membership members and hotel guests, but the spa and treatment facilities are open to the public. Members receive special benefits, including treatments.
