Dior Homme held its Winter 2016-17 collection show at Shaw Studios in Hong Kong on April 22nd. The collection was based on the idea of "hybridity." Designer Kris Van Assche said of the collection, "No one today fits into one box. We humans live our lives while simultaneously being aware of multiple boxes. Some people grew up surrounded by new wave and skateboarding, but what's important is how those things and those people have evolved into today. While there may be vestiges of memories and tradition, there's no nostalgia. This is the hybridization we're seeing today." The show, themed "The Art of Falling Apart," took place in a special venue lit up in red neon lights to the thumping bass of electronic body music. Models walked the runway in Dior's classic red and black "buffalo plaid" pattern and pieces featuring Dior's iconic floral motifs. A special short film created by Willy Vanterperre for the show, featuring the models, was projected onto the screen behind the models.

At the after-party, Club Cheval performed an acoustic live show. The band, consisting of Cambrastar, MYD, Sam Chiba, and Panteros 666, is popular in the French club scene for their hybrid music, which blends diverse electronic sounds with futuristic R&B. On the day, international celebrities such as Song Joong-ki, Wu Zun, Shawn Dou, and Akanishi Jin, as well as Hong Kong celebrities such as Nick Cheung, Gary Lai, Carrie Ng, Alex Lam, Amanda S, Pansy Ho, Laurinda Ho, Mario Ho, Harris Chan, Andrew Chan, Wesley Wong, and Wyman Wong, visited the event.
