Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane steps down

Kering, the brand's parent, announced on April 1st that Hedi Slimane, creative and image director of Yves Saint Laurent, would be stepping down.
Since taking over as creative director of Saint Laurent in March 2012, Hedi Slimane has revived Mr. Saint Laurent's original vision while implementing a major transformation of the house, establishing it as the ultimate symbol of modernity and fashion prestige.
In response to his departure, Kering Chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault said, "What Yves Saint Laurent has achieved over the past four years has been an extraordinary chapter in its history. I would like to thank Hedi Slimane and the entire Yves Saint Laurent team for guiding the house's legacy forward."
As of April 1st, 2016, a successor has not yet been announced.
