A unisex capsule collection featuring a collaboration between Y's PINK silhouettes and "MONEY," an artwork series by KOTA OKUDA, a jewelry designer and artist based in New York and Tokyo, will be released on April 2nd.
KOTA OKUDA's "MONEY" series is a consideration of modern commodity culture, deconstructing what value is and lightly presenting its principles. Value as a material asset, value in the story it has, or value in who created it. Amidst all the various "values" that exist and distort and mix together, these works scoop out and cheerfully present an "inhuman humour" that exists there.
The garments feature a composed print that covers the entire silhouette of menswear-like shirts, tailored pants and mesh tops. The distinctive modern, tailored clothing is given a twist with oversized styles and drawstring waist details, matching the state and sensibility of KOTA OKUDA's unique and entertaining work.
Alternatively, T-shirts with simple prints on the front or back, clasp bags, and acrylic key chains that are each handmade one by one are available to purchase "MONEY" that he himself has designed.
