Isetan Shinjuku will host a pop-up display of Mame Kurogouchi's Spring/Summer 2021 collection, "Window," at Center Park/Promotion on the 3rd floor of the main building from March 31st to April 6th.
Focusing on the role of windows—dividing and connecting the two worlds of inside and outside—this season's collection brings landscapes burned into designer Maiko Kurogouchi's own memories to life in the present day, using extensive embroidery and lace on clothing with a pure color palette. The extensive lineup, unique to Re-Style, expresses the collection's nostalgia and modernity from multiple angles.
At this event, we will be reintroducing the limited-edition color items from Isetan Mitsukoshi that sold out in the online pre-sale (a tulip-patterned jacquard dress that was a key item in the collection, a silk vest with delicate embroidery of irises and lilies, and a wearable cotton jersey dress). In addition, the original fabric that was used extensively in the collection will be made available as a special order item in the style of a light tailored jacket.
The campaign produced to commemorate this pop-up was created by photographer Sophie Isogai, who created visuals that carefully capture the everydayness and beauty that the collection embodies.
