Actress Yui Aragaki was born on June 11, 1988, in Okinawa Prefecture. In 2001, she auditioned for Nicola, a fashion magazine aimed at junior high school girls, and won the grand prize. She remained an exclusive model for the magazine until spring 2005, setting a new record for appearing on the cover 15 times. After graduating from Nicola, she became a TV personality and gravure idol. Her popularity soared after her 2006 appearance in a commercial for Ezaki Glico's Pocky Extra Thin. She made her acting debut in the 2005 drama series Sh15uya, and subsequently played leading roles in Dragon Zakura, Zenkai Girl, and Legal High. She made her film debut in 2007, receiving high praise for her performance in Koizora. Her upcoming film is Twilight: Sasara Saya.

She is currently the image character for Kose's skin care brand "Sekkisei," "Canon," and P&G's hair care brand "Pantene."
