Lexus has opened a limited-time theater, "Short Films Theater with Cassina ixc. at INTERSECT BY LEXUS," at INTERSECT BY LEXUS-TOKYO (4-21-26 Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo) in Tokyo's Aoyama district. The theater will run until June 30th.
The theater will screen short films from around the world, including Academy Award-winning works, provided by the Short Shorts Film Festival, as well as five films from "LEXUS SHORT FILMS 2013," produced by Lexus in collaboration with the Weinstein Company. The space was produced by Italian furniture brand Cassina ixc., from the selection of furniture and items to the layout. In addition, the first-floor cafe will serve coffee from the long-established Norwegian cafe "FUGLEN," as well as a collaboration menu with bakery and cafe "wakanapan" and Hawaiian pancake shop "SUNDAY JAM," which is open only on Sundays. The cafe will offer original cup sizes of the shop's signature cupcakes, "Honolulu Pancakes with Nuts & Maple" and "Green Butter Pancakes." Lexus is engaged in various initiatives to strengthen its brand image on a global scale. As part of this, it launched the "LEXUS SHORT FILMS" short film production project last year to support young directors. LEXUS SHORT FILM S 2013 "Beyond Memories"
