Zebra Japan has renamed its general merchandise store "Tiger Copenhagen" to "Flying Tiger Copenhagen" and will open its Tokyo flagship store in Omotesando, Tokyo, on October 2nd. The address is Omotesando Square 1F, 4-3-2 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Business hours are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

The store covers one floor and measures 452 sq. meters. It is located around the corner from Ito Hospital in Omotesando. "We decided to open a store in this area, where everything from luxury brands to fast fashion brands is available, because we thought we could reach a wide range of customers," said a company spokesperson.

The store was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1995. It currently has over 240 stores in 19 countries worldwide, primarily in Europe. In Japan, the company opened its first Asian store in Osaka last July. Its popularity was so great that entry was restricted, resulting in repeated temporary closures. The Osaka store will also change its name on October 2nd.

A low-priced general goods shop called "ASOKO," run by Yuushin Creation, opened nearby in Osaka, sparking talk of an "Osaka general goods war breaking out." In Tokyo, ASOKO opened on Meiji Dori on September 27th. This too is expected to be a fierce battle.
