From April 1st to April 14th, 2021, IDEE TOKYO will be holding an order fair for yukata designed exclusively for IDEE TOKYO by dyeing artist Samiro Yunoki.

At the age of 98, Samiro Yunoki is still an active artist. His creative endeavors extend beyond dyeing to include a wide range of works, including lithographs, copperplate prints, glass paintings, and picture books, captivating audiences. IDEE developed a close relationship with Yunoki after an interview for the online magazine “LIFECYCLING”. To date, IDEE has held solo exhibitions of his textile and lithograph works at IDEE shops, as well as developed a variety of original items based on his original drawings.

We are holding an order fair for yukatas designed by Samiro Yunoki for ID&E TOKYO. In addition to yukatas, accessories such as obi sashes and bags will also be on sale during the event. Along with these special yukatas, we hope you will enjoy a rich and relaxing summer time.

KUTSUROGI Product Details
These original yukatas feature the pattern of the tenugui towel "Daily Cloth," created with a design drawn by Samiro Yunoki exclusively for ID&E TOKYO. Yunoki named them "KUTSUROGI" in the hope that they will help you spend more relaxing times in your daily life. Artisans dye them by hand using a dyeing technique called "chusen," so you can enjoy the slightly different textures of each piece, even if they share the same pattern.
