At Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store, which originated as a kimono shop, employees will be wearing yukatas to greet customers at the Lion Entrance on the first floor of the Main Building at 10:00 AM on July 3, 2020. On the kimono floor on the fourth floor of the Main Building, the "Mitsukoshi Yukata Garden 2020 NIHOMBASHI" will be open until August 18. This year, the store will offer suggestions for how to spend the summer in a "new normal," including "yukatas made with traditional patterns and natural materials that allow you to experience the charm of Japan," "yukatas to enjoy while staying at home," and "masks that complement yukatas." Additionally, to coincide with "Yukata Day" on July 7, customers who visit the store wearing a yukata between July 7 and 31 will receive various benefits, including various services at the Main Building restaurants.
