Speedo, the swimwear brand developed by GOLDWIN Inc., will release a capsule collection in collaboration with TOGA, the Japanese fashion brand created by fashion designer Yasuko Furuta. A special website has also been opened, and image visuals and a movie expressing the world of TOGA will be released from 10:00 AM on March 24th.
Founded in 1997, TOGA is a Japanese fashion brand active worldwide, based in Tokyo and presenting its collections in London since 2014.
To express the unique worldview that TOGA specializes in layering different materials and different tastes, the TOGA SS21 collection focuses on Speedo's original material, which is highly functional and stretchy. Furthermore, Speedo's desire to express swimwear material in fashion in pursuit of lifestyle possibilities led to a shared desire between the two companies, resulting in this first-time collaboration.
This collaboration is a capsule collection that incorporates materials independently developed by Speedo over its long history into the TOGA collection.
The coats feature LZR Pure Pulse, the same material used in the swimwear worn by top athletes, while the swimwear features Ultra Stretch. SOLOTEX®, which combines a smooth feel with excellent shape recovery, is used to create vibrant T-shirts, shorts, and bags featuring floral motifs and moire prints. A total of 10 items will be available, including swimwear, dresses, and coats.
In addition, based on the three keywords of the TOGA SS21 collection—"Wholesome," "Cutting," and "Splitting"—original image visuals and a movie have been created to express functional clothing that promotes a healthy body. They will be introduced on the Speedo special website from 10:00 AM on March 24th.

TOGA
Launched in 1997. Designer is Yasuko Furuta. TOGA PULLA was launched in 2004, and the men's line TOGA VIRILIS in 2011. TOGA collections have been presented in London since Autumn/Winter 2014, and for the latest season they released a SS21 season film which included this collaboration. The film was shot in the Netherlands with photography by Viviane Sassen and creative director Jop van Bennekom.
