On the 28th, Keikyu Department Store in Kamiooka, Kanagawa, will undergo a major renovation of its 5th floor children's clothing department and open a new children's play space called "Hug Kumi Park."
The design of the space and the selection of play equipment were created by Bornelund. There will be three experience zones: workshops offering craft classes and demonstrations, a circular plaza for educational experiences, and a picture book room with over 100 picture books. Various events will be held on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and long vacations.
The educational experience plaza, centered around the symbol house equipped with a wooden kitchen, is a free experience zone and anyone can play freely. The picture book zone is only available to members of the paid membership group "Keikyu Momoka Kids." Storytimes will be held in the picture book room on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, and a childcare consultation session will be held on the second Saturday.
