The first lockdown in France was implemented in mid-March 2020. Over the course of a year, restrictions such as curfews, mask mandates, and restaurant closures were imposed multiple times, drastically changing people's lives. Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2021-22 season, held from March 1st to 10th, was the first women's fashion show to be held entirely digitally. In addition, from late October 2020, a night-time curfew (from 6 PM to 6 AM the following morning) was imposed, restaurants and commercial facilities over 20,000 square meters (such as department stores) were closed, and wearing masks in public places became mandatory. Of course, with almost no international travelers this season and no physical shows, we weren't able to see the usual off-runway spectacle...
Key words such as "protection" and "comfort" emerged in the collection, reflecting post-pandemic lifestyles and the feelings of the wearer. This change in fashion is already evident not only among those in the fashion industry, but also among local Parisians. In this issue of Paris Snap, we bring you real-life snaps of Parisians enjoying their weekend strolls to markets and vintage shops!
Sneakers are a timeless classic, no matter the era or season. As the trend shifts toward "comfort," sneakers are likely to become even more popular. In the streets of Paris, we spotted everything from global hits to sustainable brands that are popular with eco-conscious Parisians.
1. Kelly Cerossi (Resident)

2. Laure Amboise (Fashion Magazine Editor)

Laure, editor of the French editions of L'Official and Jealous, wore a luxurious Max Mara cashmere coat paired with Adidas Stan Smiths, the world's best-selling sneakers. The exquisite color combination of a red scarf and yellow socks is a sophisticated style only a fashion industry insider can pull off!
3. Joanna Thoma (Photographer)

Joanna is wearing Veja, a Parisian sneaker brand known as a pioneer in sustainability. The brand is extremely popular among eco-conscious Parisians, using ethical materials such as organically grown plants and upcycled plastic bottles, and manufacturing processes that reduce environmental impact. From the wide range of designs available, Joanna chose the Condor running shoes.
4. Victor Schwartz (Florist)

Victor, who works as a florist at a flower shop, loves Veja (the brand featured in the previous snap) both at work and on her days off. Her favorite is the basketball shoes that were released in the brand's early days 15 years ago. The upper is made of Brazilian organic cotton and the sole is made of Brazilian natural rubber. The easy-to-put-on, Velcro closure is a consistently popular model.
